In working environment, we all have our own selfishness, such as asking your coworker to do your paperwork, choosing your friends only as group members for a project and refusing to hear someone else's idea.
This selfish attitude will most definitely hinder your promotion to managerial position.
Even if you did, you cannot be an effective leader to your organization if you could not adjust yourself to working with someone else, do not have an open mind and worst of all, using people at your disposal.
Thus, when you feel like doing any of the above, remind yourself that the world, the sun and the universe do not revolve around you. The sooner you realize this, the faster you will achieve success.
